
Marsala Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ pound mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup Marsala wine
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup water or chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the oil and butter in a saute pan. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the mushrooms and saute for 5-10 minutes until slightly browned. Add Marsala and bring to a boil. Stir water or broth together with the flour. Strain to remove any lumps from the mixture, then pour it into the mushrooms. Heat and stir.
