
Lemon Herbed Beurre Blanc
Ingredients
- 1 medium shallot, minced
- 1 tablespoon of mixed herbs: thyme, tarragon, and marjoram
- 1 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small chunks and softened
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine shallots, wine, and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Boil, reducing mixture to ¼ cup. Remove from heat. Strain and cool. Whip liquid into the butter a bit at a time. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve at once.
