The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents a Mushroom Walk & Talk with Wild Foods Foraging Guide, Rachel Goclawski.

Foraging for mushrooms can be a safe, fun and nutritious activity! Learn how to identify the different classes of mushrooms, types of edible mushrooms that are “easier” to identify safely and what time of year they appear, nutritional along with their medicinal value and health benefits. Following the mushroom presentation at the Museum, we will walk in the Lee Baldwin Trail to look for edible mushrooms and discuss methods on how to safely identify them.

Rachel Goclawski is a Massachusetts Certified Educator, Wild Foods Foraging Guide, Programming Partner with the Sudbury Valley Trustees, and Programming Partner with the Scouts of Eastern MA. For her “day job,” she is a US Army Information Technology Specialist assigned to a Green Energy Testing camp at Ft. Devens.
