Take a Tour of Two Permaculture Landscapes in West Barnstable

 Lets talk about Plants!

June 1st  9:30 AM- 12:00 PM

Permaculture design is the art and science of putting combinations of plants and animals together in patterns that forge mutually beneficial relationships, creating an ecosystem that is more than the sum of its parts. By using fruits, nuts, vegetables, herbs, mushroom and other useful plants, in a way that mimics natural ecosystems, we can create beautiful, diverse, high-yielding gardens. These designs were created with an understanding of ecosystem function and the goal is to  create a largely self-maintaining site once it is established.

We will take a look at a  permaculture site that was started just over 3 years ago ( Homespun Farm) and a site that is was started over 7 years ago  (Edible Landscapes) located just a 1/4 miles from each other in West Barnstable.
